Improve confidence in Avertra’s mobile, web and backend releases. This role combines thoughtful manual coverage, automation and support for other quality engineers.
Responsibilities
- Test mobile/web applications and backend systems manually and automatically, including exploratory, system, regression, compatibility, integration and post-release checks.
- Analyze specifications with developers/product owners, write and maintain cases/plans, convert manual scenarios into repeatable automated regression and manage assigned testing scope.
- Document results and defects fully, track fixes and retest, help isolate root causes and communicate consolidated findings to product and development.
- Review colleagues’ deliverables, guide and share knowledge, coordinate across departments and stay current with testing tools and strategies.
Required and preferred qualifications
- At least 5 years’ experience and a computing-related bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong API/database testing, test-tool setup, specification analysis, test planning/reporting, automation/performance understanding and Zephyr Scale, Xray or similar quality-management tools.
- Leadership, initiative, organization, accountability, analytical problem-solving and clear English/cross-department communication; collaboration across locations/time zones in a fast environment.
- Preferred: Java, Selenium WebDriver, HTML, Playwright, Agile, performance/integration/database test breadth and Mendix knowledge or Basic certification.
Schedule and travel
- Local Avertra office hours; travel is not required.
