Manage the lifecycle of network services supporting SITA’s airport and gateway operations. Combine migration delivery, troubleshooting and service improvement with operational stability.
Responsibilities
- Own wired/wireless LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, network/cloud security and shared infrastructure through provisioning, monitoring, improvement and retirement across airports and gateways.
- Lead pilot and customer migrations to SITA Connect Versa, covering implementation, validation, troubleshooting and coordination with design/engineering.
- Provision service-provider networks accurately and on time, analyze performance trends, keep software/platforms current and manage improvement/change risks with minimal live-service disruption.
- Maintain customer/airport network and security configuration documentation, procedures and shared-infrastructure records.
- Support incidents/problems and root-cause analysis across routing, switching, NAT, QoS, IPsec and SD-WAN; evaluate automation/new technologies and train operational teams.
Required and preferred qualifications
- Relevant computer-science/IT/network-engineering bachelor’s and 5–8 years managing the network-service lifecycle, with practical WAN implementation, migration, validation and troubleshooting.
- Strong BGP, OSPF, static routing, NAT, QoS and IPsec in WAN/service-provider environments; Layer 2/high-availability including VTP, STP, RSTP, PVST and HSRP.
- Cisco/Juniper routers and switches, Cisco ASA/Palo Alto firewalls and working knowledge of Cisco Nexus/ACI data-centre switching.
- Service models, SLAs, network-management tools and incident/problem/change processes; strong scenario analysis, clear communication and minimal-disruption migration delivery.
- An associate-level security certification is mandatory. Preferred: CCNP, Network+ or equivalent; Versa/SD-WAN experience or certification; automation, cloud-security or airport-infrastructure experience.
Schedule and travel
- Support European and sometimes American migration windows, including early mornings or evenings outside standard Amman hours when necessary.
