This policy explains how Jordan Jobs Network (شبكة الوظائف الأردنية), the entity responsible for jordanjobs.net in Jordan, handles website users’ data, including information received when you choose Facebook or Google sign-in.

1. Information we handle

• Account information: your name, email, contact details and professional profile information you provide. Website passwords are stored as hashes. We do not receive your Facebook or Google password.
• Recruitment information: CVs, experience, skills, applications and attachments you choose to provide.
• Social sign-in information: your provider-specific identifier, name, email if the provider makes it available and you permit sharing, and public profile picture when available through the sign-in flow. We may retain the account link and access credentials needed to verify the account.
• Operation and security: login sessions, language preferences, connection address, browser information, errors and sign-in records needed to operate and protect the service.
• Communications: information you send through contact forms, support enquiries and privacy requests.

2. Facebook sign-in

Social sign-in is optional; email registration and sign-in are also available. We request public profile and email information to identify, create or sign in to your account and connect it with our services. If Facebook does not share an email, we ask you to verify an address with a one-time code. Simply entering an existing account’s email does not link it.

We do not request permission to read your messages or friends list or publish on your behalf. We do not sell Facebook data, use it to build advertising audiences, or supply Facebook login credentials to employers. We retain the account identifier to simplify subsequent sign-ins. Supported browsers may offer a quick account chooser when a Facebook session is available in that browser. This does not give our website access to the Facebook phone app or guarantee sign-in without an additional prompt on every device.

Facebook processes sign-in requests under Meta’s Privacy Policy and may record use of this integration. Facebook or your browser presents the choice to share information and permissions.

3. Purposes

We use information to operate accounts, verify sign-in identity and email ownership, save jobs, submit applications, manage employer listings, send requested service messages, answer enquiries and prevent fraud and abuse. Choosing Facebook sign-in does not consent to marketing messages or make your account information public.

4. Who may access information?

• Authorized website staff and administrators, as needed for operation, support and security.
• Hostinger: our website and database hosting provider, with technical access needed for hosting, security and backups. Data therefore does pass through a service provider.
• The employer you choose to apply to, for the application information and attachments you submit. Information you choose to display in a public profile may be visible to website visitors; review your profile visibility settings.
• External services you use, including Facebook and Google for authentication and Google services for advertising and abuse prevention in forms, under each service’s purpose and privacy policy.
• Competent authorities where disclosure is required by an enforceable legal request, after reviewing it and limiting information to what is necessary under our procedures.

We do not sell personal information. Providers may technically process information outside Jordan, depending on their operating locations; we do not represent that all servers are in Jordan.

5. Cookies and external services

Necessary cookies support secure sign-in, language and preferences. Google advertising may use cookies or identifiers to show and measure ads, and abuse-prevention services may operate on forms where present. These functions are separate from Facebook account-linking data. You can manage cookies through your browser and provider privacy settings; disabling necessary cookies may prevent sign-in. 6. Retention and security

We retain account and linking information while needed to provide the service, or until a deletion request is processed, subject to specific legal obligations or a legitimate need to protect rights and prevent fraud. Temporary Facebook email-verification information expires within ten minutes; the code is not stored in readable form and cannot be reused.

We use encrypted connections, access controls and request verification to reduce unauthorized access. No transmission or storage method is completely secure. Isolated backups may remain until replaced through the backup cycle; they are not used to operate a deleted account, and deletion requests must be respected when restoring data.

7. Disconnect Facebook and request deletion

1. To stop the website’s access to Facebook, open Facebook settings, go to “Apps and websites,” select “شبكة الوظائف الأردنية,” and remove the connection. Menu labels may vary by device and language.
2. To delete information stored by us, use our contact form with the subject “Delete Facebook data” or “Delete account.” Specify your website account email and whether you want only the Facebook link removed or your account and its information deleted.
3. We verify account ownership appropriately before acting. We then remove the link, credentials and information within the requested scope, or explain any information that must be retained and why. We aim to respond within 30 days; if verification or a complex request requires more time, we explain this to you.

Do not send passwords, sign-in verification codes or Facebook access tokens with a deletion request. Removing the app from Facebook does not automatically delete your website account or previous job applications. Employers may retain applications under their own policies and obligations; you may need to contact them separately. Contact-form deletion requests are reviewed by a person; this is not an immediate automated deletion process.

8. Access, correction and contact

You can edit your profile through your account and request access, correction, deletion or restriction through our contact form. Provide the request type and account email, with only the information necessary to handle your request. Rights and limitations depend on applicable law.

9. Policy updates

Changes are published here with their update date, with notice of significant changes when required. Where a new use requires separate consent, continued website visits do not replace that consent. Also see our Terms of Use.
