Lead the technology estate and governance that support Avertra’s enterprise clients. Combine strategic leadership with direct accountability for security, resilience and audit readiness.
Responsibilities
- Own secure, scalable internal IT/support and cloud/on-premise infrastructure across regions; set performance, cost, availability, disaster-recovery and continuity standards.
- Lead cybersecurity strategy, monitoring, controls, awareness, risk assessment, vulnerability remediation and senior incident escalation.
- Lead DevOps, CI/CD, infrastructure as code, observability and internal automation for repeatable delivery and early fault detection.
- Own QA and reusable functional/regression/performance automation, integrate quality gates with delivery and measure escaped defects, coverage and readiness.
- Own SOC 1, SOC 2, PCI DSS and other audits from controls and evidence to remediation/certification; maintain policies and represent the organization to auditors, regulators and client security reviewers.
- Contribute technical RFP/security/infrastructure responses with commercial/delivery teams; lead and mentor IT, security, infrastructure, DevOps and quality teams with clear priorities and fair standards.
Required and preferred qualifications
- Relevant technical bachelor’s; a master’s is advantageous. At least 12 years in enterprise technology and 5 in senior leadership across several relevant disciplines.
- Direct responsibility for achieving/maintaining SOC 1/2, PCI DSS or comparable compliance; production cybersecurity/incident leadership and cloud/on-premise, DevOps and automation ownership at scale.
- Client-facing technical proposals/security reviews, proven team development, deep security/risk/control knowledge and practical AWS/Azure/GCP, CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code skills.
- Quality-engineering and test-automation knowledge; evidence, audit and policy fluency; communication with engineers, executives, clients and auditors, calm decisions and practical business judgement.
- Strong English; Arabic is an advantage. CISSP/CISM/CISA are strongly preferred; cloud/DevOps certifications, regulated-sector knowledge and enterprise software/consulting experience are advantages.
Schedule and travel
- Sunday–Thursday in Jordan’s time zone, with flexibility for global collaboration and incident response.
