About the role

EN - Stewarding Attendant at Mövenpick Tala Bay, Aqaba, Jordan.

Responsibilities

• Work in F&B/kitchen under stewarding or executive-chef supervision; wash, sanitise, store and supply kitchenware, dishes, cutlery, glassware and equipment.
• Operate dishwashers/cleaning machinery and clean floors, walls, sinks, drains, storage and staff areas, maintaining equipment and an organised workspace throughout shifts.
• Sort and dispose of waste under environmental procedures; dilute, label, store and use chemicals according to manufacturer and hotel instructions.
• Apply HACCP and food-safety controls, prevent cross-contamination, wear uniform/PPE and report breakages, leaks, blockages, faults and hazards immediately.
• Support supply receipt/storage, monitor cleaning stock, assist banquets and busy periods, attend training/briefings and perform reasonable assignments. Performance covers hygiene, clean-equipment availability, waste/chemical controls, safe timely work and teamwork.

Qualifications and working requirements

• Hotel, restaurant or stewarding experience is preferred. Understand kitchen cleaning, sanitation and food safety and operate commercial washing equipment.
• Be able to stand, lift and bend; demonstrate organisation, teamwork, punctuality, responsibility, adaptability and willingness to learn. Basic English is preferred; shifts, weekends and public holidays are required.
