Waiter/Waitress at Mövenpick Tala Bay, Aqaba, Jordan.

Responsibilities

• Set tables/stations, welcome guests and explain menus, ingredients, allergens, drinks and promotions; enter orders accurately in the POS system.
• Serve promptly after checking presentation, portions and temperature, follow up satisfaction/requests and process bills/payments when assigned.
• Clear/reset tables, maintain clean equipment, coordinate with kitchen/bar/stewarding and assist buffets, banquets, events and opening/closing duties.
• Anticipate needs, protect privacy and resolve/escalate complaints professionally; follow grooming, HACCP and food-safety rules, minimise waste, report hazards and attend training/assigned duties.
• Performance covers guest feedback, order accuracy, product knowledge, cleanliness, teamwork, reliability and punctuality.

Qualifications and working requirements

• Food-service experience in a hotel/resort/restaurant is preferred; hospitality training and POS familiarity are advantages.
• Food/beverage service knowledge and basic English; extra languages are advantageous. Communicate and cooperate well, remain guest-focused under pressure and work shifts, weekends and holidays.
