Executive Chef

InterContinental Aqaba is seeking an Executive Chef to create memorable dining experiences and keep its kitchen operating smoothly. The role combines attractive, flavourful food with consistent quality, high operational standards and the development of the culinary team.

Main responsibilities

• Make each meal visually appealing and enjoyable, supporting the guest dining experience wherever and whenever guests choose to eat.
• Direct daily kitchen activities, coach colleagues and develop a team capable of catering for more than 500 people.
• Encourage guest feedback and address it to improve food and service.
• Support the Food and Beverage Director with event planning.
• Work closely with the finance team on forecasts, planning and budgets.

Qualifications and experience

• A degree or certificate in culinary arts.
• Five years of experience as a chef.
• The ability to speak the local language or languages.
• At least one year in a supervisory capacity, or an equivalent combination of education and culinary or kitchen-operations experience.
