Support UNRWA’s Digital Archive Initiative in Amman through a 12-month consultancy paying USD 5,500 per month.
Role and contract
Provide day-to-day coordination, administrative and documentation support to the Relief and Social Services Department’s Digital Archive Initiative. Keep information accurate, meetings and follow-up coordinated, deadlines tracked and management informed of progress and outstanding issues.
Based in Amman, Jordan. Twelve months, renewable subject to satisfactory performance and available funds. Remuneration: USD 5,500 per month.
Responsibilities
Coordinate meetings, schedules, agendas, circulation of materials and logistics.
Prepare notes and minutes recording discussions, decisions, actions, responsibilities and deadlines.
Maintain action trackers and follow up with teams, consultants, vendors and other stakeholders.
Track workplans, timelines, milestones, deliverables and deadlines, highlighting delays or issues.
Prepare updates, progress summaries, briefing notes, presentations and reports for management and stakeholders.
Coordinate RSSD colleagues, archive and research teams, consultants, vendors, service providers and project stakeholders.
Assist consultations, workshops, project reviews, donor activities and other meetings and events.
Undertake related project coordination, documentation and administrative support as assigned.
Required qualifications
Master’s degree in project management, business administration, public administration, management, international relations, development, social sciences, information management or another relevant field. A relevant bachelor’s degree with two additional years of relevant experience may replace the advanced degree.
At least two years of relevant project coordination, support, administration, operations or related experience, including at least one year of relevant international experience outside the applicant’s home country, country of citizenship and country of permanent residence.
Experience organising meetings, preparing minutes, tracking actions and following deadlines and deliverables.
Experience preparing updates, presentations and reports and maintaining documentation.
Excellent spoken and written English.
Desirable qualifications
Professional training or certification in project or programme management, administration, information management or a related area.
Coordination of multiple stakeholders, consultants, vendors or service providers.
Work relating to Palestine refugees, Palestinian history and heritage or the Middle East.
United Nations or international-organisation experience, or archive, digitisation or research project experience.
Working knowledge of Arabic.
