Network Operations Centre Engineer

Role

• Maintain network stability and reliability through continuous monitoring, fault management and reporting on availability and operational-level agreements. Carry out wireless-network configuration and operations and manage helpdesk and service-desk activity under agreed processes.

Responsibilities

• Correlate inputs to identify service impact, produce network reports, open tickets immediately and follow up outstanding cases.
• Escalate pending issues before OLA thresholds, take first-line action with relevant teams, audit faults and ensure other teams receive reports.
• Open and follow vendor tickets or route incoming emails appropriately; monitor automated network KPI messages and verify major change requests and approvals.
• Provide continuous assistance to public security personnel and GID, and serve as the single contact with other operators on network incidents.
• Support NOC colleagues and other teams on technical and non-technical matters, guiding and training colleagues in daily activities.
• Check NOC tools and report technical problems, support teams according to shifts, produce daily pending-fault and outage reports and update the shared fault records.
• Join a 24/7 emergency on-call rota during holidays or natural hazards.

Qualifications and knowledge

• A bachelor's degree in telecommunications engineering, computer engineering or a related discipline, with basic knowledge in a relevant field.
• A driving licence and CCNA certification are required.
• CCNP and ITIL certifications are preferred.

Working arrangements

• Full-time employment in Amman, with continuous-operations shifts and emergency on-call duties.
