Responsibilities

• Develop restaurant business through local-demand assessment, community relationships, competitor analysis and revenue/timing strategies.
• Negotiate prices/contracts, manage preferred suppliers and review usage, purchasing, stock and costs, taking corrective action and overseeing invoice payment.
• Lead marketing with hotel, brand and culinary teams; support on/off-property PR, restaurant events and local networking.
• Create event/social content, monitor and answer comments and trends and correct weaknesses.
• Manage shifts, cover absences and assist peak service; plan menus and conduct daily tastings to educate staff and set sales goals.
• Align lighting, music and table presentation with the concept/time; maintain menus/materials and enforce food, sanitation, legal and alcohol controls.
• Monitor the journey from greeting and order speed through delivery, special requests and payment; meet guests, resolve complaints and implement improvements.
• Participate in recruitment and direct standards, staffing, productivity and goals; develop/deliver training, monitor attendance and provide practical coaching.
• Apply fair treatment, support retention and recognition, invite open-door feedback and build trust through collaborative, professional leadership.
• Track restaurant trends, workshops, publications, networks and benchmarks; exchange information and analyse results to solve problems.

Qualifications and experience

• High school plus four years in food and beverage or related work; alternatively, a relevant two-year hospitality or business degree plus two years of experience.
• The stated higher-education qualification must be from an accredited institution.
