Responsibilities

• Explain available pools, beach, games, fitness and children’s activities and encourage, register and schedule participation.
• Communicate safety rules, monitor activities, respond to emergencies, flag unsafe participation and assist injured guests until medical help arrives.
• Provide cashier/POS service and collect fees for equipment hire, facility rental, activities and retail sales.
• Assist private functions and group events, clean and maintain facilities/equipment/supplies and keep electronic records.

Qualifications and experience

• Preferred: high school or equivalent; no related experience required. No supervisory experience required.
• Required: CPR and first-aid certification and recreation equipment qualifications.
• Any certification or training required by the competent local authorities.

• Follow company policies and safety/quality standards with professional dress, presentation and communication.
• Protect confidential information, hotel assets and guest/colleague privacy.
• Report accidents, injuries, hazards or maintenance needs relevant to the role.
• Complete required safety training and certifications.

Physical and practical requirements

• Lift, carry, push, pull and move loads up to 25 lb without assistance.
• Handle loads above 25 lb with assistance.
• Prolonged standing, sitting or walking, potentially throughout a shift.
• Move over sloping or uneven and slippery surfaces.
• Access narrow, confined or elevated areas.
• Use stairs and service ramps.
• Reach above head and below knees, bending, twisting, pulling and stooping.
• Manipulate objects using fine motor control and hand-eye coordination.
• Read and visually check information, including small print where specified.
• Visually examine tools and machinery for defects.
