Procurement Specialist

Role and contract

Amman-based Procurement Specialist with Leaders International for Economic Development. This is a six-month consultancy starting 1 November 2026, reporting to the Operations Manager and Operations Director.

The organisation manages economic-development and innovation interventions in private-sector development, entrepreneurship, jobs, digital development, policy dialogue and tourism.

Responsibilities

Coordinate procurement for subgrant beneficiaries as the liaison between Leaders International, Microfund for Women, beneficiaries and suppliers. Confirm beneficiary requests and ensure proper approval, records and implementation under project procedures.

Follow suppliers and delivery, coordinate payments with LI/MFW Finance, document goods/services receipt and asset handover, maintain complete files and provide regular updates on each subgrant.

Visit beneficiaries, suppliers and delivery locations when needed to verify requirements, receipt, appropriate use and handover.

Qualifications and attributes

A bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, finance or a related business field; additional professional qualifications are advantageous. At least three years in procurement/supply chains, preferably with NGOs, international organisations or donor-funded projects.

Subgrant familiarity and review of third-party/partner procurement files are assets. Excellent Arabic/English communication, Word and professional Excel skills, and strong planning and administration are required.

The role requires accurate documentation and compliance checks, integrity and confidentiality, organisation across concurrent processes and deadlines, and collaborative teamwork.
