Responsibilities
- Oversee all overnight hotel operations, represent management in guest/property issues and help resolve them hands-on.
- Monitor operating procedures, presentation and workplace safety and manage period-end inventories.
- Analyse financial, sales and activity reports to assess productivity, targets, cost reductions and improvements.
- Support receivables to keep invoices below 60 days, monitor and reduce chargebacks/rebates, control cash discrepancies and manage staff hours.
- Work with leaders to prevent recurring guest problems, track attendance/absence/lateness and assist weekly payroll processing.
- Communicate operating, emergency and safety procedures and support performance reviews, coaching, morale, recognition, social activities and service/profit incentives.
Qualifications and experience
- High school plus four years in guest services, front office or housekeeping; alternatively, a relevant two-year hospitality or business degree plus two years of experience.
- The stated higher-education qualification must be from an accredited institution.
