KEO is hiring a Business Analyst for the commercial finance function serving construction and infrastructure projects from Amman. This is a finance position requiring academic credentials in finance and supporting leaders and project directors in commercial and financial performance.
Responsibilities
- Advise leaders and project directors on financial matters, review cost controls and billing workflows, and analyse spending efficiency.
- Help shape commercial strategies and support projects from inception to closeout, applying project and bid management practices under the quality management system and project life cycle.
- Support projects in the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and potentially other GCC markets; occasional travel may be needed.
- Prepare annual business-unit profit-and-loss budgets and half-year forecasts, and support monthly revenue recognition and performance reporting to senior management.
- Check monthly progress and revenue forecasts, maintain forecasting reports with the Commercial Manager, and help directors estimate costs to complete and future resource needs.
- Prepare financial information and follow-up actions for project reviews and help develop and deliver commercial-finance training.
- Keep working-capital reports current, follow up monthly actions, and help build resource and lump-sum pricing for bids.
- Produce ad hoc reports and reconciliations and review and approve internal and external sub-consultant invoices for projects and business-unit overheads.
- Provide reporting for transparent, sustainable financial performance and suggest or implement process improvements that enhance profitability.
Required qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance or a related commercial discipline, meeting the role’s requirement for academic finance credentials.
- At least five years of experience in a comparable role.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in construction consultancy.
- A completed or in-progress professional accounting qualification such as ACCA or an equivalent.
