Manager - Risk Consulting - Insurance (Risk, Internal Audit & Governance)

Lead insurance risk consulting engagements for EY in Amman. Seven to ten years of experience, at least three years of team management and Arabic and English fluency.

Role

• Lead EY Jordan risk consulting engagements for insurance and financial-services clients, covering internal audit, insurance regulatory compliance, corporate governance, enterprise risk management, internal controls and business continuity.
• Work with an experienced regional insurance team to address complex business issues and support organizational transformation.

Client delivery

• Lead advisory engagements and governance, risk and compliance reviews, identifying improvement opportunities.
• Develop policies, frameworks, methodologies and procedures aligned with regulation and industry best practice.
• Facilitate workshops, interviews and stakeholder discussions and prepare reports, presentations and recommendations for senior management and boards.
• Help clients implement improvements and ensure deliverables meet EY standards and client expectations.

Project management and technical leadership

• Manage plans, budgets, timelines and resources; coordinate teams, monitor milestones, review work and provide technical guidance.
• Manage client communication and engagement governance, identify and escalate risks and issues, and deliver outcomes on time.
• Provide expertise in internal audit, insurance compliance, governance and enterprise risk management. Keep current with regulation and industry developments.
• Improve methodologies and templates, share knowledge and uphold technical quality.

Required qualifications

• Strong knowledge of IIA standards, insurance regulation, corporate governance, COSO and ISO31000 enterprise risk frameworks, internal controls and compliance management.
• Knowledge of business continuity, operational risk, the Three Lines Model and risk appetite frameworks.
• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, risk management, business administration, economics, actuarial science or a related field.
• The employer specifies a minimum of 7–10 years of relevant professional experience, including at least three years managing teams and client engagements.
• Strong report writing, presentation and stakeholder management, and fluency in Arabic and English.

Preferred certifications

• CIA, CFIRM, CMIRM, CRMA, CISA, CPA, ACCA, CFA, FRM or ISO31000 certification.
