Automation QA Engineer – AI Systems, Senior Consultant

Join EY’s AI Hub in Amman to automate web application quality testing. Four to eight years of QA automation experience, Python and cross-browser testing required.

Testing responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks for web applications with Next.js frontends and Python backends or services.
• Create and execute tests across Chrome, Firefox, Safari and Edge, and connect them to Jenkins, GitHub Actions or comparable CI/CD pipelines.
• Agree testing strategies and acceptance criteria with developers, product managers and QA colleagues; document defects and follow them through resolution.
• Perform functional, regression, integration and end-to-end testing, improving coverage, automation efficiency and QA processes.
• Help plan tests for AI-enabled features and define appropriate quality benchmarks for AI model outputs; maintain test environments and test data.

Required experience

• Four to eight years in automation QA or SDET roles, with substantial hands-on web application testing experience; Next.js or React frontend experience is ideal.
• Proficiency in Python automation scripting and frameworks, cross-browser testing tools and strategies, and automated test integration into CI/CD.
• A sound understanding of testing methodologies, familiarity with Git, strong analytical and debugging skills, attention to detail and effective cross-functional communication.

Additional advantages

• Experience testing AI or machine-learning products, model outputs, chatbots or LLM features.
• API testing with tools such as Postman or REST Assured; performance or load testing; exposure to AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
