External Audit Manager

Lead complex audit engagements with EY in Amman. Over seven years of external audit experience, team leadership and a professional accounting qualification required.

Leadership responsibilities

• Lead complex external audit engagements and support the growth of the audit practice.
• Take ownership of results, manage competing priorities and resources, and communicate effectively with clients and teams.
• Lead and develop audit teams through coaching, mentoring and counselling, drawing on sound project management skills.

Required qualifications

• A strong academic background, a degree and an accounting qualification such as ACCA or CPA.
• More than seven years of external audit experience, including team management, and previous experience at a Big Four accounting firm.
• Knowledge of current auditing techniques, risk-based audit procedures, and applicable and forthcoming IFRS standards.
• Experience using audit and data analytics tools.
• Proficiency in Arabic, fluency in English and effective presentation skills.
• Commercial awareness, initiative and the ability to turn strategic ideas into useful client outcomes.
