Responsibilities
- Organise draftsmen and technical engineers, allocate responsibilities and targets, and track drawing submission schedules and quality.
- Prepare coordinated shop drawings consistent with designs, specifications and details, observing relevant authority, health-and-safety and project standards, including the QCS2014 standard listed in the advert.
- Review and approve mechanical shop drawings and design calculations before submission, and sign off technical material submittals for the consultant.
- Review method statements for compliance and coordinate architectural and structural reviews and approvals.
- Follow company procedures and address requirements from the client, consultant, main contractor and MEP management.
- Support HSE initiatives and awareness and contribute to incident reporting and resolution under the integrated management system.
Qualifications and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
- At least eight years of work experience, including five years relevant to the role. Two years of GCC experience is an advantage.
- Mechanical-engineering and construction knowledge, with the ability to prepare and maintain tracking schedules.
- Familiarity with mechanical codes and standards, NFPA and local regulations.
- UPDA engineer certification or an attested certification, as stated in the advert.
