HSE Project Manager – UCC Concessions, Jordan

UCC Concessions seeks an HSE Project Manager in Jordan with eight years of work experience, including five in a relevant field.

Employer and reporting

• The official vacancy identifies UCC Concessions for Investments and a Jordan work location; no city is specified.
• Support project management, executive leadership and the department head in implementing HSE systems and local law, planning and evaluating site activities and measuring objectives. The HSE Project Manager does not report to the construction manager.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, monitoring and execution of project HSE activities, act as the site accident-prevention manager and coordinate internal and external stakeholders.
• Direct immediate incident and emergency response, investigate root causes and establish preventive actions.
• Conduct monthly site inspections with documented improvement plans, quarterly subcontractor audits and monthly monitoring programmes.
• Record and analyse performance daily or at least weekly and deliver timely weekly and monthly HSE reports.
• Run informative meetings and toolbox talks daily, weekly or as needed, ensuring all weekly supervisor tours are completed.
• Guide and motivate the HSE team and support awareness, reporting, resolution and improvement initiatives under company and integrated-management policies.

Experience and qualifications

• At least eight years of work experience, including five years relevant to the role. Two years of GCC experience is advantageous.
• Engineering bachelor’s degree or Level 6 OHS diploma, with a professional NEBOSH qualification or lead-auditor certificates for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 22301 as listed.
• Knowledge of safety laws and procedures, Qatar and international safety standards, integrated management and theoretical/practical process safety. Qatar standards are a knowledge requirement; the official job location remains Jordan.
• Audit competence such as ISO 45001, accident-investigation training and scaffold, fire and rigging training; ERP knowledge, preferably SAP functional skills.
• Leadership, quality, resilience, agility and AI fluency, with competence in safety management, programme development, incident investigation, accident reduction and compliance.
