Senior Financial Analyst

UCC seeks a Senior Financial Analyst in Jordan for modelling, budgets, forecasts and financial reporting, with eight years’ experience and accounting qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain planning, budgeting and forecasting processes, analyse trends and recommend action, supporting financial policies, controls and reporting systems.
• Monitor year-end closing for audited annual statements and review accrued expenses monthly.
• Perform financial modelling, variance analysis and forecasts, providing insights from financial data, market trends and industry benchmarks.
• Develop models and tools to evaluate business performance, investment opportunities and expected financial outcomes.
• Conduct reviews and audits for accuracy, completeness and compliance with accounting and regulatory requirements.
• Work with finance, operations and sales to collect information, assess performance and develop actionable findings.
• Present results and recommendations to senior management, board members and stakeholders and prepare reports, presentations and financial communications.
• Support budgets and forecasts, identify cost-saving and revenue opportunities, mentor junior analysts and keep up with regulations and analytical practices.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and a Certified Public Accountant professional qualification, as listed under education.
• At least eight years of work experience, including five relevant years. Two years in the GCC is an advantage.
• Advanced financial modelling, ratio analysis and valuation knowledge, with quantitative, scenario-analysis and complex-data interpretation skills.
• Proficiency in Excel, financial-modelling software and data-visualisation tools, plus budgeting, forecasting and reporting experience.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills and ERP knowledge, preferably functional SAP skills.
