Senior Budgeting Officer

About the role

Responsibilities

Develop, consolidate and monitor annual budgets, rolling forecasts and longer-term plans, maintaining assumptions and short/mid/multi-year projections. Analyse actual-versus-budget/forecast differences and explain performance drivers.

Prepare management reporting and dashboards; work with business units, cost owners and regional finance to validate data and challenge assumptions. Support cost control, resource allocation, margin and profitability analysis across entities, products and regions.

Maintain planning controls and improve models, methods and workflows using SAP/FP&A systems. Automate Excel reporting and provide technical guidance to junior colleagues.

Qualifications and skills

A finance, accounting, economics or related degree and three to five years in budgeting, forecasting, FP&A or financial analysis.

Strong forecasting, financial-statement, cost and variance knowledge; advanced Excel including lookups, pivots, Power Query and validation. VBA/macros are advantageous; ERP/planning-system experience is preferred. Strong analysis and clear communication to non-finance stakeholders are required.
