Guest care

• Provide personal recognition and prompt attention from arrival to departure: review profiles, prepare registration cards, address guests by name, escort them to rooms, maintain contact during their stay and offer a courteous farewell.
• Deliver the designated treatment for VIP levels one through four, the member categories identified in the vacancy as SCC, and first-time guests.
• Keep guest histories, preferences, profiles, VIP levels and remarks current, and review next-day arrivals to identify VIPs who have not yet been flagged.
• Prepare and oversee welcome amenities, member and first-visit letters, club-floor letters, fruit baskets and preparation forms; escort members and VIPs to their assigned rooms.
• Prepare for unexpected VIP arrivals and inspect guest-room amenities to ensure the appropriate welcome arrangements are ready.

Service and follow-up

• Respond accurately and promptly to guest needs, questions and requests, anticipate requirements and maintain strong knowledge of hotel services affecting the guest experience.
• Promote hotel facilities where appropriate, handle complaints immediately, take suitable action and follow each case through thoroughly.
• Help compile and analyse departmental expenditure, record daily activities in the logbook and complete the Guest Relations checklist.

Work standards

• Maintain the required conduct, dress, appearance and professional bearing, and effective working relationships within Guest Relations.
• Follow hotel health, safety and hygiene policies, the corporate code of conduct and company values, and undertake related duties and special projects assigned by the manager.
