Driver – Class 5 Licence

Role

• Provide safe transport for hotel employees, employees’ schoolchildren and authorized guests, maintaining attentive guest service.

Daily responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles at the start and end of each shift, report damage or repair needs to Transport or Security, and clean and polish interiors and exteriors as scheduled.
• Perform minor maintenance, including replacing flat tyres, adjusting the fuel mixture and checking engine-oil supplies.
• Observe local driving regulations, maintain a valid licence and follow hotel health, safety and hygiene policies.
• Deliver mail when assigned, record destinations, mileage and passengers in the trip log, and sign vehicle keys in and out with Security.
• Report accidents and prepare incident reports with the Transport Supervisor, ensuring safe guest transfers to and from assigned locations.
• Greet guests professionally, maintain knowledge of city routes, local locations, hotel facilities and flight schedules, and assist with luggage handling and loading.
• Learn the names of repeat and long-stay guests and remain alert to opportunities to assist them.
• Support valet parking when available, explain hotel services and facilities, and follow Front Office procedures.
• Carry out assignments from the Front Desk Manager and report problems with proposed solutions.

Qualifications

• A high-school certificate or equivalent education.
• Two years of driving experience.
• A valid Class 5 driving licence.
• Effective communication and attentive, timely guest service.
