Job description

Build an automation practice that reduces repetitive work while protecting software quality at Avertra. This is a hands-on leadership role across testing and internal processes.

Responsibilities

  • Own QA strategy, standards and quality gates; track escaped defects, coverage and release readiness and embed quality in planning rather than only final inspection.
  • Build reusable functional, regression and performance automation integrated with CI/CD, including Selenium/Playwright or equivalent frameworks.
  • Apply AI/GenAI, UiPath, n8n, Camunda/BPMN and other tools to high-value repetitive testing and business tasks; measure return and establish responsible-use standards.
  • Hire, coach and develop QA/automation engineers; prioritize by risk and value and deliver with engineering, DevOps and leadership on time and budget.
  • Keep automation aligned with regulated-industry governance and strengthen continuous improvement through clear metrics.

Required and preferred qualifications

  • A computing-related bachelor’s and 10+ years in automation, QA or software development, including team-building/management and measurable automation-framework delivery.
  • Quality management and governance, ideally in regulated sectors; practical UiPath, Selenium, Playwright, n8n and CI/CD; Java, Python, JavaScript and SQL.
  • Applied AI/GenAI across testing and business processes, Agile/Jira/Azure DevOps, regulatory understanding and strong communication and hands-on leadership.
  • Prioritize measurable outcomes, build robust reusable standards, debug frameworks/pipelines and improve the team’s skills.
  • Preferred: ISTQB/CSTE/CSQA/CAST/CMSQ, Six Sigma Green or Black Belt, and Camunda/BPMN certification or experience.

Schedule and travel

  • Flexible hours; business-related travel may be required.

Benefits and compensation

  • Professional growth, opportunities to develop expertise, autonomy to improve processes and collaboration with a global team.
