Support and Implementation Engineer

Role

• Implement enterprise solutions and provide advanced technical support at customer sites and remotely. Diagnose incidents and service issues in close cooperation with support and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Install and deploy solutions on customers' infrastructure platforms.
• Investigate reported issues across implementation layers, working on site or remotely as needed.
• Respond promptly and professionally to customer requests and support tickets.
• Prepare, review and verify technical documentation; undertake preventive and corrective maintenance visits and other relevant duties.

Required qualifications and experience

• A bachelor's degree in IT, engineering/science, computer applications or a related field, with at least two years in comparable work.
• Willingness to travel and work additional hours when needed.
• Experience with Oracle, MS SQL and PostgreSQL databases, and Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Developed knowledge of cloud infrastructure orchestration, including Kubernetes and HashiCorp Nomad, and working experience with Apache Tomcat, Oracle WebLogic and IBM WebSphere application servers.
• Knowledge and practical skills in DevOps techniques, including CI/CD, Helm and Ansible, and directory services such as AD and LDAP.

Additional experience valued

• Large enterprise environments, particularly payments and remittance solutions; cloud computing, virtualization, storage and network infrastructure.
• High availability, disaster recovery, backup and recovery implementation, and knowledge of PKI infrastructure and certificate authorities.
• MySQL and NoSQL databases, server and client operating systems including Linux distributions and Windows, and object storage management.
• Authentication and authorization solutions such as HashiCorp Vault and Keycloak; cloud-based infrastructure on AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, OCI or IBM.

Working arrangements

• Full-time, on-site work in Amman, with customer-site and remote technical assignments as required by implementation and support needs.
