Job description

Build the financial platform first, then help shape the team that owns it. This hands-on leadership role combines production coding, architectural decisions and hiring as Foodics develops its ERP product.

Responsibilities

  • Initially work as a core coder in a three-engineer ERP team, with responsibility for building the team as the product develops.
  • Own core modules, transactional foundations, compliance and integrations; make and defend long-term architectural decisions.
  • Set practical standards for reviews, testing and responsible AI-tool use; turn product and accounting experts’ requirements into working software.
  • Define vacancies and run hiring, mentor existing engineers toward independent ownership, introduce processes when needed and manage the product’s transition into the core business.

Required and preferred qualifications

  • At least 7 years in engineering, including engineering-management, technical-lead or founding-engineer responsibility; the applicant must still code regularly.
  • Practical ERP/accounting development, including double-entry bookkeeping and period closing; full-stack ability from data schema to interface.
  • Daily use of AI agents and language-model tools with judgement about output quality; experience starting products in small teams amid unclear requirements and short delivery cycles.
  • Interest in both hands-on development and later team-building, with substantial working-hour overlap with GMT+3.
  • Preferred: scaled ledger or transaction-engine work; fintech/banking/payments experience; growing a team from its first hires; ERPNext, Odoo, NetSuite or SAP familiarity; ZATCA or comparable regional compliance integrations.

Benefits and compensation

  • Competitive compensation, bonuses and possible equity.
  • Regular training, an annual learning allowance, mentoring and autonomy; work with an international team spanning more than 30 nationalities and 14 countries.
