Senior Software Engineer - Foodics ERP

Turn restaurant transactions into reliable accounting workflows. Join a small engineering team building a new Foodics product across the ledger, financial modules and operational integrations.

Responsibilities

• Build a new accounting product in a small founding team: ledger, chart of accounts, journals, payables, receivables, reconciliation and financial reports.
• Connect accounting with inventory, payments, POS transactions and regulatory e-invoicing; own complete frontend and backend features.
• Work with the product manager and accountant on system design; use AI to evaluate reference systems and generate/review code while checking correctness.
• Take architectural decisions early, deliver in short cycles and improve the product using real merchants’ feedback.

Required and preferred qualifications

• At least 5 years building production software, with meaningful accounting, ERP or financial-system experience and understanding of double entry and period closing.
• Strong full-stack ownership, daily AI-agent/LLM use with critical review, and a record of fast delivery in small early-stage teams.
• Accuracy in financially sensitive systems and substantial overlap with GMT+3 working hours are required.
• Preferred: product judgement, large-scale ledger or transaction-engine work, financial-services experience, ERPNext/Odoo/NetSuite/SAP familiarity, regional tax or ZATCA integrations, delivered AI features and Arabic proficiency.
