Electrical Power Production Technician (EPP)

Role and location

Full-time, on-site Amentum position in Amman, Jordan. Requisition R0171706.

Responsibilities

Maintain, modify and repair generator, control and automatic transfer equipment. Perform scheduled maintenance, adjust output and synchronisation, investigate faults and repair or replace components while maintaining records.

Read drawings and use electrical tools and test instruments. Equipment includes the listed Cummins models, MEPP sets, PP-3106A and InPower software, supporting the airfield, weather and command/control equipment identified in the announcement.

Qualifications and eligibility

Secondary education or equivalent and formal generation-equipment training through a military technical school, vocational college or four-year apprenticeship, with relevant maintenance experience.

Four years of practical equipment experience and six months with Cummins Commercial, AMMPS and InPower are required. Candidates must lift up to 50 pounds, perform sustained physical tasks and work effectively in a changing environment.

US citizenship is required for the mandated US Secret clearance, which must be obtained/maintained. Candidates must meet CENTCOM medical-examination requirements.

Equipment scope

The specified Cummins sets are DGDK, DSGAB, DGBB, C15D6, C35D6 and 125D6D, alongside MEPP 1050/1070A, PP-3106A and Cummins InPower. The scope also covers generator support for the C2, ATCALS, ATC weather, air-control-squadron and regional-maintenance-centre systems in Tables 4.5.1–4.5.5.
