Airfield Management Shift Lead (AMSL)

Role and location

Full-time, on-site Amentum position in Amman, Jordan. Requisition R0170229.

Responsibilities

Lead airfield activity and the operations section during the shift, maintaining awareness and safe, efficient aircraft operations. Inspect the airfield and coordinate construction, repairs, vehicle-driving programmes, snow/ice work and bird/wildlife control.

Maintain flight publications, charts, notices, navigation/airfield status and weather information. Process domestic/international flight plans and coordinate accommodation, meals, fuel, transport and transient-aircraft maintenance.

Qualifications and eligibility

An approved DoD/airfield-management course or equivalent plus aviation experience as aircrew, dispatcher or flight follower with a Part 121 or Part 135 operator.

Four years covering supervision and coordination with control/maintenance, dispatch, safety, flight records, weather, planning and tracking, and wildlife/strike prevention. Experience must include maintenance/construction coordination, hazardous cargo/live-fire-device coordination, emergency response and inspections under the AFMAN requirements identified in the vacancy.

US citizenship is required for the mandated US Secret clearance, which must be obtained/maintained. Candidates must meet CENTCOM medical-examination requirements.

Specified operating standards

The specified standards cover 14 CFR Part 121 or Part 135 operators, AFMAN 13-204v2 inspections, AFMAN 13-204v1 Chapter 7 and AFMAN 13-24v2 Chapter 2.
