ATC Specialist, Liaison – CIC

Role and location

Full-time, on-site Amentum position in Amman, Jordan. Requisition R0171186.

Responsibilities

Maintain safe, efficient traffic flow in the assigned control area under ICAO and FAA guidance and separation rules. Oversee facility operations and services during the shift, maintain situational awareness and apply crew-resource-management principles.

Coordinate aircraft, safety and emergency information with controllers and staff; oversee airfield vehicles and personnel. Process flight plans and supervise approaches, departures and arrivals, using full tower/flight-planning knowledge and foundational radar/manual approach expertise.

Qualifications and eligibility

An approved DoD or FAA ATC course and eight years of experience, including one year in a comparable facility, are required.

Candidates need ATC rules and tower/approach expertise, an accepted FAA CTO, FAA/AOV tower credential or equivalent, and eligibility to maintain FAA Class II medical certification, CENTCOM medical requirements and Secret clearance.

Specified standards

Traffic-control work follows ICAO guidance and FAA 7110.65, including prescribed separation and crew-resource-management principles. Accepted tower credentials are an FAA CTO certificate, an FAA or AOV credential with tower rating, or an equivalent qualification.
