Senior Project Manager – Amman

A confidential employer in Amman seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead complex projects, budgets and teams, with over seven years of experience.

Role scope

• Full-time position in Amman with an employer whose identity is withheld, in a practical, collaborative coding-education environment. Lead complex projects to agreed time, cost and quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Own initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and closure; develop detailed plans, schedules, budgets, milestones and resource requirements.
• Define objectives, deliverables, KPIs and success criteria, lead cross-functional teams and coordinate departments.
• Track scope, cost, time and quality; identify, assess and mitigate risks and issues; control changes through approvals and documentation.
• Report status, challenges and recommendations to senior leaders and manage client, supplier and internal stakeholder relationships.
• Facilitate meetings and clarify accountability; ensure policy, standards and regulatory compliance; run post-project reviews and implement lessons learned.
• Mentor junior project managers and team members and improve team performance and resource utilisation.

Requirements and competencies

• Bachelor’s degree in project management, business, engineering, IT or a related subject and over seven years in project management, preferably on complex or large-scale work.
• Demonstrated budget, schedule, resource, risk and stakeholder management, alongside leadership, negotiation, organisation, analysis and problem solving.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana, Monday.com or similar tools and sound knowledge of Agile, Scrum or Waterfall methods.
• PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent certification is preferred. Strategic thinking, change and conflict management, decision making and presentation skills are important.
