Audit banking and insurance clients from PwC’s Amman delivery team. Senior-level external-audit experience at a Big Four firm and strong ISA/IFRS knowledge required.
Role and responsibilities
Join the Amman assurance delivery centre, supporting regional client engagements virtually.
Analyse financial statements for regulatory compliance, examine financial/accounting records and documents, and inspect items such as inventory, plant and equipment.
Gather written and verbal evidence, test controls and processes, understand client expectations and industries, and build trust.
Keep managers and partners informed of progress, risks, issues and time/budget variances; own audit-file completion.
Analyse engagement economics and field-staff costs, explain budget variances, review associates’ work and provide timely coaching and feedback.
Maintain risk, quality and independence compliance; identify business opportunities and sustain client relationships.
Work with diverse teams from planning through completion, track timelines and internal indicators, participate in digital development and carry out additional assurance procedures.
Requirements
A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. Completed or ongoing ACCA, CA, ACA or CPA study is preferred.
Progressive Senior Associate experience across external-audit clients in a Big Four firm. Banking/insurance audit experience is an advantage; no numerical experience minimum is stated.
Experience applying International Standards on Auditing to financial services and excellent IFRS knowledge, particularly IFRS 9 and 17, plus financial-services regulations.
Communication, presentation, relationships, business development and project management; constructive challenge and respect for diverse teams. Arabic/English bilingual proficiency is a plus.
Strong reporting and auditing expertise, risk/materiality-based procedures, coaching of engagement teams, technical research and clear alternatives and conclusions.
Audit technologies and data-analysis tools are advantages.
