Responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests, communicate about maintenance and perform preventive cleaning, lubrication and equipment inspections.
• Carry required tools/radio and locate and operate equipment shut-off valves.
• Maintain maintenance stock, requisition parts and supplies, record unfinished requests for shift handover and safely store flammable materials.

Qualifications and experience

• Technical or vocational qualification preferred. At least 2 year(s) of related experience preferred.
• Supervisory experience is not required.
• No licence or professional certification is specified.

Working standards

• Protect confidential information, hotel assets and guest/colleague privacy.
• Complete required safety training and certifications.
• Anticipate guest needs and assist people with disabilities.
• Collaborate respectfully across teams, respond to colleague concerns and support shared goals.
• Carry out other reasonable duties assigned by the supervisor.

Physical and practical requirements

• Lift, carry, push, pull and move loads up to 50 lb without assistance.
• Use stairs and service ramps and ladders.
• Reach above head and below knees, bending, twisting, pulling and stooping.
• Visually examine tools and machinery for defects.
