Responsibilities

• Lead Engineering at Mövenpick Petra, recruit/train staff, assign duties/shifts and provide technical guidance.
• Manage operation, preventive maintenance and repair of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire-safety and hotel systems; resolve faults promptly to limit disruption.
• Prepare departmental budgets and control maintenance, energy, capital-project, spare-part and water costs; analyse consumption and savings.
• Ensure building safety, emergency lighting/security and regulatory compliance, conduct inspections and act as the main emergency contact protecting guests/staff.
• Oversee refurbishments, upgrades and contractors within budget/time; coordinate with Housekeeping, Front Office and F&B, support room/conference/event setups and report progress.
• Develop energy-conservation and sustainability programmes with management in line with corporate environmental responsibilities.

Qualifications and working requirements

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering or related field; 7+ years in hotel engineering/facilities, including at least three in senior engineering leadership.
• Strong building-system/HVAC/electrical/plumbing/fire-safety knowledge; budgeting, project/contractor management and familiarity with local codes/regulations.
• Leadership, analysis, organisation, detail, communication and problem-solving under pressure, with relevant software/BMS proficiency. Sustainability and energy-management knowledge is preferred.
