Jobs at Ministry of Public Works and Housing

Jordan’s Ministry of Public Works and Housing develops and coordinates infrastructure projects covering roads, public buildings and government facilities. Its work combines project development with partnerships and approaches intended to improve services, quality of life and competitiveness.

The ministry traces its roots to the Department of Public Works established in the early years of the Emirate of Transjordan, before 1923. It became a separate Ministry of Public Works in 1954. The current name followed the Housing Corporation’s attachment to the ministry in 1988. Organisations linked to the Minister include the Government Tenders Department and the Housing and Urban Development Corporation.

Its direction centres on sustainable road and government-facility networks and effective local and international partnerships. Institutional values include excellence, innovation, continuous improvement, fairness, integrity, transparency, accountability and teamwork.
