Mechanical Engineer – King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC)

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and preparing budgets for mechanical unit operations.
• Prepare and submit periodic reports on preventive, routine, and emergency maintenance activities.
• Conduct regular inspections of mechanical equipment and systems.
• Supervise and ensure effective implementation of preventive maintenance programs.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams, contractors, and other departments for project execution.
• Maintain proper documentation and archiving of maintenance reports.
• Develop and update a database for maintenance activities and system performance analysis.
• Participate in preparing tender documents and selecting qualified contractors.
• Monitor contractors’ work and ensure compliance with KHCC standards and policies.
• Prepare spare parts lists and maintenance requirements.
• Ensure continuous and efficient operation of all mechanical systems.
• Conduct technical studies to improve system performance and maintenance processes.
• Comply with safety regulations and infection control policies.
• Stay updated with industry advancements and recommend improvements.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the direct supervisor.
• Support patient-centered care by contributing to a safe and efficient environment.
• Work flexible hours as required by departmental needs.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience, including at least 3 years in hospital settings.
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Very good command of the English language.
