Remote Gulf Arabic Video Recording Contributor – Project Keid

Project and payment

• Record one 15–20-second video in Gulf Arabic for a video-data collection project that trains and evaluates a model distinguishing human recordings from synthetic footage.
• The assignment is one session, with an expected overall commitment of about one hour and an ASAP start.
• A one-time payment of USD 4–15, depending on the participant’s country.
• This is remote freelance participation, open to contributors in Jordan.

Eligibility and task

• Applicants must be 18 or older, native Arabic speakers and able to speak Gulf Arabic.
• A short dialect check may be requested before the submission is finalized.
• Speak spontaneously without a prepared script, for example introducing yourself, mentioning where you live or discussing an interest, and look directly into the camera throughout.
• After recording, answer brief questions such as your age range, country and dialect to help organize the dataset.

Recording specifications

• Use at least 1080p resolution and keep the recording between 15 and 20 seconds.
• Frame the head and shoulders, with the whole face centred and visible, good lighting without harsh shadows and a plain, neutral background.
• Maintain a relaxed expression and clear speech without background noise, music or echo.
• Portrait or landscape recording is accepted if the camera remains steady; a quiet indoor setting is preferred.
• Do not use filters, beauty modes, sunglasses, hats, hoods, face coverings, headphones or earbuds.
• Do not include watermarks, stickers, borders, other people or pets in the frame.
