Language Services Vendor Manager

Manage language-service vendors and translators in Amman across sourcing, assessment, rates, contracts, service levels, onboarding and disputes.

Responsibilities

• Build lasting approved-vendor relationships, assess services and performance, negotiate and communicate obligations.
• Find staff, freelance and vendor translators through channels such as LinkedIn, ProZ and Translators Café and vet resources through testing and due diligence.
• Agree rates and service levels with operations and vendors and onboard new freelancers.
• Review suitability, end unnecessary contracts, develop alternatives and smooth transitions, track documentation and resolve disputes promptly.

Requirements

• A Business, Linguistics or related degree; the general experience field lists five-plus years.
• Language-service-provider and vendor-management software experience are advantageous, with strong Visio and business-modelling skills.
• Leadership, critical thinking, collaboration, communication, records management, organisation, time management, analysis and problem-solving.
• Ability to establish and govern processes, make timely decisions and guide teams toward business goals.
