Software Architect

Lead secure software architecture in Amman, with ten years in IT delivery and five years designing large-scale cloud solutions.

Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor internal and outsourced engineers and collaborate with product owners, project managers and business analysts.
• Design client and server architecture, document use cases in UML, maintain architecture records and oversee code reviews.
• Control versions, build schedules, product roadmaps, releases and architectural standards aligned with business goals.
• Partner with cloud security, monitor open-source and technology developments and report to the R&D head to maintain a complete SDLC.

Technical qualifications

• A Computer Science bachelor’s and/or master’s degree or equivalent, with at least ten years in IT and software delivery.
• At least five years architecting large solutions and coordinating teams on Azure or AWS.
• Enterprise microservices, serverless, containers and Kubernetes; Microsoft SQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cosmos DB and Redis.
• High availability, performance, scale-out, disaster recovery and security design; Azure deployment and operations knowledge is advantageous.
• Development experience in languages such as C#, .NET Core, PHP, Java, Scala, Go, Python and JavaScript, plus REST, BPEL, Java EE and OSGi standards.
• Ability to guide Angular, jQuery and React work, select tools through evidence and maintain quality under critical deadlines.
