Manage SITA contracts through bids, delivery, changes and negotiations in Amman. Strong international telecoms or IT contract negotiation and risk-assessment experience required.
Role and work location
- Own specific contracts and/or key customers throughout the contract lifecycle to support business objectives and growth. Implement the complete contract-management process for standard, tailored and complex bids in pre-sales and post-sales phases.
- Amman is an explicitly listed work location alongside Lisbon. This is a regular, full-time position.
Pre-sales responsibilities
- Act as the main contractual contact for internal and external customers.
- Prepare and approve contractual documents for legal review, or support their preparation according to deal complexity. Review, understand and manage customer contracts.
- Help the bid team satisfy contract requirements, terms, conditions and commitments for both SITA and the client.
- Support resolution of contractual/process issues and help the bid team identify, assess and manage contractual risk.
Post-sales responsibilities
- Serve as the subject-matter expert for assigned contracts, helping project teams identify, assess, manage and resolve contractual risk.
- Document potential breaches or exceptions by SITA or the client and work with the project team to reduce the risk.
- Assist project, account, billing and other teams in producing correct service invoices. Coordinate with Billing and Finance on ad hoc or one-off invoices through the billing process.
- Lead the project team in meeting contractual requirements, terms, conditions and commitments for both parties.
- Lead responses to changes affecting cost, time, terms or conditions; negotiate changes and disputes and maintain the resulting contract documentation.
Qualifications and competencies
- Proven experience leading contract negotiation and execution for a telecommunications or IT company in an international setting.
- Strong contract-review and risk-assessment experience, and extensive experience managing, structuring, positioning and negotiating complex contracts.
- Ability to explain legal concepts clearly and firmly protect SITA’s contractual interests. A legal background is welcomed but is not compulsory.
- At least a bachelor’s degree; Business Management, Finance or a Juris Doctor qualification is preferred.
- Accuracy, attention to detail, commercial judgement, contract management/administration/review, cross-team integration, risk management, negotiation, networking and client-success partnerships.
- RFP experience, sales closing and agreements, and technical writing/documentation. The vacancy does not specify a numerical experience threshold.
