Senior IT Infrastructure Specialist

Design IT and cloud infrastructure in Amman, bringing Linux, networking, virtualization, containers and architecture-governance expertise.

Architecture responsibilities

• Act as a technical expert or internal adviser across complex projects requiring two or more architectural specialties.
• Assess sites, networks, passive infrastructure and servers and develop current-to-target roadmaps and implementation plans.
• Translate business, application, integration and service needs into design requirements and contribute to enterprise architecture governance.
• Design infrastructure for standardization, consolidation, total cost, security, compliance and application quality, evaluating emerging technology and trends.
• Coordinate project status, risks, benefits and architectural alignment with project and software-development leaders.

Experience and qualifications

• A Computer Science or STEM degree with five years of experience, or a master’s degree with three relevant years.
• Linux, networking, storage or virtualized/cloud infrastructure experience and computing, network or storage design expertise.
• Public, private and hybrid clouds; SaaS, PaaS, IaaS and Cloud Foundry; virtualization, networking and VPN proficiency.
• At least two Linux distributions, DevOps, CI/CD and container-infrastructure requirements.
• Systems thinking, thorough problem-solving, team guidance and policy awareness, with client-facing listening, empathy, critical thinking, presentations and leadership.
