Manager – Google Cloud Data and AI Engineering

Lead Google Cloud data and AI delivery at PwC in Amman. Broad engineering experience and at least three years of hands-on Google Cloud work required.

Responsibilities

• Lead client engagements and discovery workshops, advising senior stakeholders on data, AI, cloud and transformation strategy.
• Architect and deliver complete Google Cloud data and AI solutions, including platforms, analytics, MLOps, generative AI and application modernisation.
• Govern scalability, security, reliability, Responsible AI, cost efficiency and operations.
• Manage complex programmes, cross-functional teams, budgets, risks, quality, architecture assurance and stakeholders; contribute through pre-sales, thought leadership, reusable accelerators, alliances and technical mentoring.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Engineering, IT or a related field. Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer or Cloud Architect certification is preferred.
• The employer lists six to ten-plus years across data engineering, analytics, machine learning, AI or cloud delivery, including at least three hands-on years in Google Cloud data/AI architecture, leadership or workstream delivery.
• Experience leading complete enterprise data, ML or generative-AI implementations in complex settings.
• Python, PySpark, SQL, Apache Spark, data modelling, distributed processing and performance optimisation.
• BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, Dataplex and integration patterns.
• Vertex AI, ML pipelines, deployment, experiment tracking, monitoring, feature engineering and MLOps.
• Gemini and generative-AI patterns: RAG, vector search, agents, prompt evaluation, safety controls and LLM observability.
