Responsibilities
- Shape the technical vision for generative-AI solutions and guide delivery teams on tools, frameworks and platforms.
- Define target architectures and reusable patterns for RAG, agent/multi-agent orchestration, prompts and evaluation. Translate business requirements into robust applications and services.
- Own scalability, performance, latency, observability, security and cost. Establish Responsible AI, privacy and governance controls aligned with enterprise standards.
- Support enterprise-architecture definition, maintenance and compliance, and help enterprise architects assess technologies.
- Lead design and periodic code reviews, and deliver digital products meeting client expectations and internal quality standards.
- Research planned and unplanned business-development opportunities, supervise vendor developers and mentor engineers and junior architects.
- Improve design/development methods and documentation, build relationships and skills aligned with team strategy, and undertake other manager-assigned duties.
Experience and education
- Extensive hands-on delivery of large software implementations and at least ten years in Agile teams and product delivery, with demonstrated generative-AI solution expertise.
- A bachelor’s or master’s in Computer Science or Engineering. Azure Solutions Architect/Developer and Microsoft development certifications are preferred.
Technical requirements
- Generative-AI knowledge is mandatory, including at least one technology from each listed category: LLMs such as GPT-4, ChatGPT, Gemini or Llama; agent frameworks Semantic Kernel/LangChain; vector stores Azure AI Search/Qdrant; and RAG, Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI or Microsoft Copilots.
- Familiarity with Azure Machine Learning and several Azure AI services, strong broader Azure expertise and cloud-ready IaaS/PaaS architecture.
- Service-oriented, event-driven and microservices architecture; SQL/NoSQL persistence such as MS SQL and MongoDB and appropriate use cases.
- Docker and/or Kubernetes, CI/CD, virtualisation, automation, Azure DevOps, GitHub and JIRA.
- High-level UX principles including user stories, personas and prototyping, plus Agile methods.
Personal skills and language
- Combine broad perspective with technical detail, analytical troubleshooting, leadership, innovation and teamwork. Communicate effectively with product teams and customers and interpret feedback.
- Maintain client focus, reliable delivery and ongoing learning. Fluent written and spoken English is required; Arabic is highly desirable.
