Responsibilities
- Design, review and execute comprehensive manual cases from business and technical requirements.
- Run functional, regression, integration, system and performance tests for web, mobile and enterprise applications; lead end-to-end testing for moderately complex projects and releases.
- Assess interface and user-experience consistency, accessibility and usability.
- Identify, document, prioritise and track defects using JIRA or other tools, collaborating with developers, product owners, analysts and stakeholders.
- Support user acceptance and pre-release issue resolution; apply black-box and white-box methods to application functions and business processes.
- Test APIs, validate data and verify integrations. Contribute to automation initiatives and frameworks as appropriate.
- Perform security and vulnerability testing for compliance and risk objectives, and mentor junior colleagues while reviewing case quality and coverage.
- Improve QA standards and processes, support release-readiness assessments and validate production releases.
Requirements
- Three to five years in software QA, including manual and automated testing.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering or a related field.
- Strong experience in test management and defect tools such as JIRA, API tools such as Postman, and working knowledge of test-automation tools and frameworks.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile and DevOps, with functional, regression, integration, system, performance and acceptance-testing experience.
- Experience testing web, mobile and enterprise applications, and preparing detailed plans, scenarios and cases.
- Analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder skills, with ability to mentor junior team members and collaborate across functions.
