Job description

Join Arab Potash Company in a role that combines chemical and laboratory-equipment stores management with technical procurement support. The position covers inventory accuracy, technical quotation assessment and administrative coordination with purchasing, maintenance and laboratory teams.

Location and contract

Responsibilities

  • Manage chemical-material and laboratory-equipment stores, control inventory and monitor reorder points, and raise purchase requests through Oracle ERP.
  • Receive and check shipments and materials, update stock balances, and monitor chemical shelf life and expiry dates.
  • Technically assess quotations and recommend the highest technically rated offer; prepare technical specifications for laboratory equipment and materials.
  • Handle laboratory administration, including correspondence and records, purchase-request follow-up with Purchasing, periodic reports and coordination between relevant departments.
  • Coordinate equipment and material purchasing with Purchasing and preventive equipment maintenance with Maintenance.
  • Apply safe chemical-storage requirements in accordance with material safety data sheets (MSDS), including incompatible-material separation and ventilation and temperature control.
  • Comply with ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory quality-system requirements.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry.
  • Three to five years of practical experience in laboratories or chemical stores management. Technical procurement experience is preferred.
  • Maximum applicant age of 30.
  • Knowledge of inventory-management systems, preferably Oracle ERP, and Microsoft Office proficiency.
  • Knowledge of chemical safety and safe-storage requirements and laboratory-equipment specifications.
  • English proficiency and strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Successful completion of the tests and interviews arranged for this vacancy.
  • The applicant must be a non-smoker.
  • The preferred-candidate fields specify Jordanian nationality, residence in Jordan, a bachelor’s degree and at least three years’ experience.
