Artificial Intelligence Intern

An internship in APCO’s Amman office supporting the development, testing and use of AI and natural language processing tools in research, communications and digital transformation.

Responsibilities

• Help develop, test and improve AI and natural language processing tools for research, analysis and communications use cases.
• Collect, clean, organise and analyse structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
• Identify patterns, insights and opportunities that support client projects and internal innovation.
• Research emerging AI tools, digital transformation trends and applications in communications, public affairs and advisory work.
• Help prepare presentations, summaries, reports and visual outputs that explain technical findings clearly and practically.
• Work with colleagues to test models, evaluate their outputs and document findings, recommendations and improvements.
• Track relevant technologies, tools and use cases and contribute to internal knowledge sharing.

Qualifications and skills

• Currently studying or recently graduated in computer science, computer engineering, data science, artificial intelligence or a related field.
• Strong interest in AI, machine learning, natural language processing and digital transformation.
• Working Python knowledge and familiarity with common data-analysis or machine-learning libraries are preferred.
• Ability to work with data, conduct research and explain insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Curiosity, initiative and willingness to experiment with new tools and technologies.
• Attention to detail, problem-solving ability and readiness to learn collaboratively.
• Excellent written and spoken English; Arabic is an advantage.
