UNESCO Amman supports cooperation in education, science, culture, communication and information with Jordanian institutions and civil society.
Established in 1986, the office became UNESCO’s national office for Jordan in 2000. It provides technical assistance, research and capacity development to advance inclusive education and protect natural and cultural heritage.
Its work includes media and information literacy, freedom of expression, and skills and livelihoods connected to heritage and sustainable tourism. Programmes combine institutional support with cooperation involving local and international partners.
