UN-Habitat has worked in Jordan since 2005 to help manage urban growth and its environmental and social effects, cooperating with public institutions, municipalities and local partners.

Its areas include urban data and indicators, affordable housing and safe, inclusive public spaces, with residents and vulnerable groups involved in design and implementation. Its work also addresses refugee and host-community needs, water and sanitation and urban resilience.
