About Mateen Organization
Mateen was established in Jordan in 2016 to improve education and wellbeing for children and young people, particularly marginalized groups. It works to reduce educational inequality, support families, protect children’s rights and improve access to services.
Programmes cover literacy, remedial education, early childhood learning, life skills, digital learning, child protection and psychosocial support. Its work also includes livelihoods, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, water, sanitation and hygiene, and cash assistance.
Mateen delivers projects with local and international partners, including Makani, inclusive education and mobile technology-skills activities for adolescents in underserved areas. It also supports continued education for vulnerable Syrian youth in Amman and Madaba through transport, cash and protection services. The contact office is in Abdali, Amman.
