Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah launched Madrasati to improve physical and educational environments in Jordanian public schools most in need of support. It works with the Ministry of Education and partners to create safer schools that better support learning.
Its model combines infrastructure, capacity building, resource mobilization, community engagement, sustainability, and monitoring and evaluation. Programmes include safe and creative premises, student clubs, teacher development, remedial learning centres, music and productive schools.
Social and emotional learning is integrated into its work to strengthen cohesion among students from different backgrounds and reduce school violence. Electronic twinning supports teacher collaboration and professional development. The office is in Jabal Al Qalah, Downtown Amman.
